I am a doctoral candidate in the Department of Government at the London School of Economics (LSE). I specialise in the study of contentious politics and in particular the study of social movements, revolutions, street protest and mass mobilisation with reference to the Middle East and North Africa.

My research has been published in Comparative Studies in Society and History and Middle East Report and has featured on the Washington Post’s political science blog The Monkey Cage, here and here.

At LSE, I founded and co-convene the Contentious Politics Doctoral Workshop, which runs a monthly reading group on contentious politics and provides a seminar space for ongoing research in the field.
